Welcome to The Gunslingers RP Welcome to The Gunslingers RP Well, howdy! Glad you found us. We’re The Gunslingers RP – a RedM community dedicated to realistic cooperative storytelling. We like to immerse ourselves in the world of Red Dead Redemption as often and as deeply as we can. That’s where our server is set, in the year 1900. That’s when and where our characters live out their lives. Our community is what drives us. It’s what makes everything happen. Writing our stories together lets us build full lives for our characters. We get to enjoy watching and acting out all the ups and downs and twists and turns that a person in that time and place would go through. The interweaving stories end up creating businesses, families, gangs, neighborhoods. Sometimes they’ll tear them apart too, but that’s all part of the fun. After all, every good story needs a bit of conflict now and then. Some of Our Favorite Features While we all know that our storylines should be driven by RP and our imaginations, we’ve found (and developed) some scripts that we’ve implemented that have really improved immersion. Multijob Capability: We have so many awesome job scripts that most of us get too tempted by other professions to stick to only one. Plus, your character being able to hold more than one job allows for so much more flexibility in their storyline. For example, your character’s hobbies can turn into ways to make income on the side, they can work freelance, or they can pitch in to help out at a friend’s business part-time without having to give up their own career. Custom Horse Coats: When you’ve been playing for a while, you start seeing the same horses over and over and over again. There’s a lot more variety in real life than there is in the base game. That’s why we’ve got custom coats available. You’ll need to go to a player-owned stable for these, because only a professional would know what’s actually possible to import (and which horse dreams are “unrealistic.”) Custom Tack Coloring: If you’re imagining that a one-of-a-kind coat makes it hard to find tack that matches, seeing as the options in the base game are so limited, then you’re right. We didn’t like that, so we implemented a script that lets you fine-tune the perfect colors for each individual piece. Pets & Specialty Pets: We like our other animal companions to have some variety too. In addition to cats and dogs, you can easily adopt farm animals. Pets can either follow your or simply hang out at your house all day. Dogs can be trained to perform tricks on command or help you while hunting. We even have some less-conventional pets that a handful of users will get to befriend if they apply with a solid RP storyline to justify the friendship. Those include pets like wolves, boas, or even bears and moose. Animal Peds: If you want to take it even further, you can forego the AI companion get a pet that will actually RP with you. Or you can become the pet. People can play as animals is what we’re saying here. Fill out an application via ticket and, if approved, you can become anything from a cat or dog to a moose or squirrel.
