Joining The Gunslingers RP – The Gunslingers RP

Once you’ve gotten everything downloaded and installed, the next steps will introduce you to the server, get you logged in, and give you guidance on how to begin your character’s new story.

1. Join the Discord

You’ll have to be a verified member of The Gunslingers RP Discord server in order to access the RedM server and play. There’s no lengthy whitelist process, just confirm that you’ve read the rules and you’ll be granted the role you need to get in.

W/A/S/D – directional movement

Shift – run

Space – jump / climb

Ctrl – crouch

I – toggles inventory menu

H – summon horse

E – mount nearest horse

J – summon wagon

U – furniture interaction menu

Z – toggles ragdoll animation

/scene	Leave a floating string of text where you are to describe RP details that would not be visible or cannot be portrayed in-game (ie a lingering smell in the air or a blood stain on a wall)

3. Read the Rules & Bear’s Survival Guide

In any RP community, the rules are extremely important. Agreeing to follow them is the only way to get in and your ability to follow them will be the only way to stay in the server. Make sure to get familiar with them. It’s a good idea to review them every so often, as they do evolve over time. (Any updates will of course be announced in the Discord.)

It’s always helpful to have a bit of direction when first stepping off the boat or train in a new place. You don’t need to start off feeling lost. Here’s a brief guide that you can use in-game to get you started on building the foundation of your story. You’re welcome to RP that you found this book upon arriving in the county or that it was pointed out to you.

Do you feel ready? You probably still have a few questions. The best way to learn the rest is to fly into the county and RP to find out! If you need help, you’re always welcome to reach out on Discord, either in the open chat channels or speak directly with staff via a ticket. If giving you the answer to your question would be meta, we won’t be volunteering the info, but we’ll probably try to nudge you in the right direction.

We’ve got a few more reference tools you can make use of as needed outside the county for info like server reset times and direct connect, the horse catalog, streamer resources, and more. Keep on going to Phase Three for all of those.
